If you do not have strong budget constrains in the downtown area between the two rivers (Presqu'île) there are many other good hotels. Safe budget options (around the Part-Dieu station)
- you can reach the workshop with the Bus C6 (no changes) 45 min. till École Centrale de Lyon ("Campus Lyon Ouest").
- you can walk downtown in 20 min or use the metro B changing in "Saxe-Gambetta" to take the metro D till "Bellecour".
